Staycations have become a rather often occurrence in my life due to being a producer for THE STAYCATIONERS, and I am certainly not complaining about hardly ever sleeping in my own bed in exchange for luxury linens calling my name...
My favorite thing about staycations is that they each offer their own unique interior design and interactive experience. With boutique luxury hotels spanning different locations across the city, there are plenty to choose from to make one great adventure. As for Gild Hall, they decided to take the staycation experience to the next level by hosting a group of influencers for one mouth-watering tour of the new Eataly Downtown location, an Aperol Spritz Penthouse happy hour and a gorgeous three course meal at Gild Hall's Felice Restaurant.
At Eataly, we enjoyed taste-testing all of the deluxe fromage, including cheese that had been soaked in cow's grass, as well as buffalo smoked cheese. We toured the olive oil library, learned about one hundred year old parmesan, and finished off the tour with how to make homemade pasta and raviolis! It was as delicious as it was educational, and the new location is an entirely different layout from the NoMad location, making it a new adventure to cross off your Fall activities list. In addition- Eataly downtown has a fast-casual pasta bar, where you order homemade pasta and rosé on tap and it is delivered to you in minutes! For me, this is definitely the highlight of the new location.
When it was time to relax at the Penthouse happy hour, there was endless Aperol Spritz and great conversation. After toasting the evening away, we headed down to Felice restaurant for a dinner featuring Burrata, Tartare di Salmone, Crostone Ricotta and ofcourse, plenty of salad and pasta! Whether you are a seasoned New Yorker or you're visiting throughout the year, I highly suggest the Gild Hall experience. That's amore!
